Several years ago I was developing a new style for my painting. I was attempting to reconcile impressionist color ideas and cubist concepts of form. My granddaughter was living in my studio at the time. She loved the paintings and named the style "gemism. " I have always admired how Vermeer placed details of color that sparkled. I like to think my work is a conversation with the great artist I admire. My granddaughter, Brittany, is my web designer and online agent. Thank you Brittany.
